Sleeve, live show, then the video productions.
VIGILANCE ZERO (Le Ploum and Spicy Sofi) are the party designers and core residents of Morninglory Paris, the collective based at Dock B. FMRXR first signs the visual direction of their debut album, then carries that language into the live show for their first summer night in Tunisia, and on into the video productions of their sets. Moving between formats is the heart of the project. What is fixed on the sleeve becomes, at Calypso, an audiovisual installation running three simultaneous dimensions: sound, image and light answering each other live on an LED wall. This is not VJing behind DJs, it is a generative architecture where all three layers stay reactive to one another. The same language then travels down into the set captures, so that a clip posted online stays recognisable without needing a logo. The set carries a single concept, SEUIL, French for threshold. It crosses an EFFET MÈRE artwork, spectral light portals framed in absolute black, with the vocabulary of liminal spaces, those transit places charged with presence and empty of visible bodies. Club dancing is treated as a threshold: between self and collective, between control and release, between the world outside and the matrix inside.
